I never knew that paying taxes could be a wonderful experience, but my time spent with Liberty Tax this morning came as close as possible. As a decaying octogenarian, I knew that I needed help filing my state and federal taxes. Things were a mess, because of my failing memory, my lack of relevant paperwork, and  my too frequent moves from one 'home' to another.

Less than 90 minutes after I arrived, I was done: Federal and State taxes were completed, with much of my missing information resolved because of a bevy of phone calls to local, state, and federal offices, and of resolving challenges over the phone, always politely and professionally. The woman who did all the work (because of my disappearing short-term memory, I can't remember her name) was infinitely gracious, politely aggressive, and obviously completely knowledgeable in all aspects of tax preparations and reporting.
